I was just listening to this cast, about Google+’s ‘circles’ and how you can sort your news feed with them. Then latter Craig–I think it was–mentioned that he doesn’t use Facebook. I just wanted to mention that with Facebook you can sort your ‘friends’ into lists for a similar effect. That’s the main reason I use it instead of Twitter or Myspace (though I do have a mostly unused Twitter account). That and because each post that I create has its own viewing permissions that I can set upon it’s creation. This feature–I feel–is essential to any social application.

Ah, that may very well be true. I haven’t used Facebook in a while, so if they have the ability to sort people into lists that would be a welcome change.
Of course, making it abundantly clear who or what you’re sharing should be a design goal of any social application. And that’s one area that Google+ gets high marks in my book.
